WTW - Correct Boot Up and Shut Down Procedure (For Projector WTW)
If your Walk Thru Wall contains projectors, the following checklist below describe the "Best practice" for booting up and shutting down the Walk Thru Wall:
BOOT UP
- Power on all projectors first.
- Now power on the Walk Thru Wall server. The reason we want to do this in this particular order is because when the server boots up, the blending software is going to be looking for the projectors to make sure the blend stays active, and if the projectors are not powered on first, it's possible you will need to re-blend your wall.
- Verify the full Windows desktop appears on the wall. If not, you'll need to re-blend the projectors.
- Connect your HDMI source to the Walk Thru Wall podium.
- Start the 8K Walk Thru Wall application from the Streamdeck or Windows.
SHUT DOWN
- Close out of the 8K Walk Thru Wall application from the Streamdeck or Windows.
- Power off the Walk Thru Wall server first by selecting the Windows Start button, left clicking on the Power icon, and choosing "Shut Down".
- Next, power off projectors by either using your projector remote or by pushing the power button on the projector to initiate a shutdown. The projector shutdown may have a cool-down time and may not be immediate.
- Verify the projector image is either returned to a default picture or no longer displaying the Windows desktop.
- Remove your HDMI source from the Walk Thru Wall podium.
