mastRcam (Before Practice) - Install Camera Housings

Some users will take down the cameras and housings after each practice and store them in a secure location, and others opt to just leave the cameras and housings installed. If you need to install the camera housings to the top of the mast:
1. Connect the black thermoplastic block (Delrin) found on the camera housing into the same sized opening on top of the mast. The Delrin block has a safety push pin that is designed to latch the camera housing securely to a hole on the top of the mast. If the mast should pop or shoot up too quickly, this push pin will prevent the camera housing from falling off the mast.
If your camera housing is already installed on your mast, the next steps are:
2. Remove the camera bag and dome.
3. Swivel the housing for the desired shot. Simply push in the safety push pin and rotate the housing until it snaps into another hole on top of the mast.
4. Connect the umbilical to the camera housing. The camera housing has a cable whip containing (1) Neutrik power connector, (1) SDI cable, and (1) ethernet cable. These cables will connect to the same cables found on the umbilical.
5. Connect the umbilical to the mastRcam’s Umbilical Connection Panel. Next to the umbilical basket on the trailer, the Umbilical Connection Panel is where the bottom end of the umbilical connects to the trailer. Here you will connect the (1) Power cable, (1) SDI cable, and (1) ethernet cable

Note that for dual trailers, the umbilical connections will have (2) Power cables, (2) SDI cables, and (2) ethernet cables, but they are color coded so it’s easy to ensure you have the right cables connected to the right spots.
