JVC - Configuring Iris and Focus Settings

The Iris and Focus settings allow you to tweak brightness settings:
1. For changing gain, shutter, and iris settings, tap the [EXPOSURE] button.

2. If you have [USER1] currently assigned as “Exposure”, press the physical USER1 button on the controller to change the Exposure setting to:
a. AUTO – This setting will tell the camera to automatically adjust the brightness
b. SHUTTER – This setting allows you to switch to shutter priority (manual for shutter and auto for all others) operation.
c. IRIS – This setting allows you to switch to iris priority (manual for iris and auto for all others) operation.
d. MANUAL – This setting allows you to switch iris, gain, and shutter to manual operation.
3. You can also use the physical F1 and F2 knobs on the controller to adjust GAIN and SHUTTER settings. If you want to be able to manually adjust the Iris f-stop, you’ll need to assign the IRIS function to either the F1 or F2 menu first, then you can use the F1 and F2 knobs to adjust.
4. For changing focus and brightness settings, tap the [LIVE] button.

5. If you have [USER1] currently assigned as “Focus”, press the physical USER1 button on the controller to switch between Auto and Manual.
6. If you have FOCUS set to “Manual”, then you can use the physical Focus knob on the controller to tweak your focus settings:
a. Turn counterclockwise – Focus on near objects
b. Turn clockwise – Focus on distant objects
c. Press the Focus knob will perform a one push focus.
