HR-140 Heater and Defroster Setup on RP-150 Controller

The outdoor Panasonic HR-140 cameras contain a heater and defroster feature that can be activated from the RP-150 controller. But you'll need to configure a User button for these features:

  1. Select function menu, button to the right of the touchscreen:

  2. Make sure “1 USER ASSIGN” option is selected on the touch screen

  3. Then make sure the second row, or whichever row contains the user assign keys that they want to change. In this example, we are changing USER 7 and USER 8 which are located on row 2. So press on the 2nd row to select it.
  4. Now use the knob for the column representing the column of the USER key that you want to change. In this example, we are changing USER 7 to heater so you would use the F3 knob. Spin the knob until HEATER comes up, then make sure to press the knob in to save the change. You will hear a beep when you save it.
  5. Now do the same for DEFROSTER and assign to USER 8.
  6. There are only 6 user key buttons on the upper right of the controller but 10 user assignments. In order to access user assignments 7-10, press the up arrow button to the right of the touch screen.
  7. This menu will then come up and you can select those user assignments on the touch screen. To return to the main screen again press the down arrow to the right of the touch screen.
