8K Replay - Losing Frames or Artifacted Video

8K Replay - Losing Frames or Artifacted Video

This is an issue that may be more common with multi-stream Replay systems, but if a customer has a single-stream system but has multiple camera feeds going to a video switcher and then to Replay, this issue could pop up.

The primary issue is that 8K Replay needs all connected cameras to be at the exact same resolution and frame rate, otherwise, when the Magewells are recording the video, it will create artifacts or drop frames trying to match the resolution from the cameras. So if this issue happens, you'll need to make sure one cameras isn't outputting a different resolution than the others (for example, 1080 vs 720, and even "720 59.94" vs "720 60". This would have to be changed on the camera itself.
